Nate is the clinic director for Alliance Physical Therapy in our Midlothian and Colonial Heights locations. He is a 2010 graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences with a Health Studies concentration. Nate earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2013 where he was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health by his faculty. After graduation, Nate became a traveling physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and gaining experience working in 7 different states across the country. In early 2015 he was recognized as a board-certified specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. His clinical interests include addressing the complexity of whiplash injuries and concussions, reintegrating functional patterns, and enhancing sports performance. Nate prides himself in going above and beyond for each patient and individualizing their program. By individualizing the programs and staying away from cookie-cutter approaches, it promotes long term success by teaching the tools to maintain rehab progress once discharged. His overall goal is to get each patient back to doing what they love, whether that is picking up their grandchildren, driving to the grocery store, walking on the beach during the next family vacation, hiking the Shenandoah trails, returning to playing a round of golf, or maximizing an athlete’s performances to the next level.

Nate uses a functional approach while utilizing many cutting edge manual therapy techniques in adjunct to standard soft tissue and joint mobilizations: Therapeutic cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), Dry Needling and Kinesiotaping. In 2019 he was handpicked “Top 3 Physical Therapists” in Richmond, VA by from a rigorous 50-Point inspection model.
