  • Haven Helenbrook, PT

    Haven graduated from Virginia Tech with her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise in 2012. She continued her education at Lynchburg College where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. Haven began her career treating a wide range of subacute conditions within the geriatric population, with a passion for post-stroke and neurological rehabilitation. She enjoys working in orthopedics and using comprehensive treatment approaches to tailor the patient’s care specifically to their needs. In her free time, Haven enjoys spin classes, spending time outdoors hiking with her two dogs, or relaxing at the beach.

  • Nicole Lobo, PTA

    Nicole Lobo is a 2015 graduate of Northern Virginia Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Nicole has a variety of interests in physical therapy which range from working with athletes to the older population. Her clinical experiences include outpatient, pediatrics, and inpatient rehab. She is fluent in Spanish enjoys working with a diverse patient population. She is originally from a small town in upstate New York and moved to Northern Virginia in 2007. In her free time Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends as well as biking, hiking, tennis, soccer, reading, traveling, and cooking.

  • Nathan S. Michels, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

    Nate works for Alliance Physical Therapy in our Richmond locations. He is the clinic director of the Midlothian office and spends time in both Colonial Heights and Willow Lawn. He is a 2010 graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences with a Health Studies concentration. Nate earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2013 where he was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health by his faculty. After graduation Nate became a traveling physical therapist specializing in orthopaedics and gaining experience working in 7 different states across the country. In early 2015 he was recognized as a board certified specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. His clinical interests include work hardening, car accident injuries, functional movement screening, enhancing optimal sports performance, and comprehensive rehabilitation approaches breaking down integrated biomechanics. Nate prides himself in going above and beyond for each patient and individualizing their program. By individualizing the programs and staying away from cookie cutter approaches it promotes long term success by teaching the tools to maintain rehab progress once discharged. His overall goal is to get each patient back to doing what they love, whether that is picking up their grandchildren, driving to the grocery store, walking on the beach during the next family vacation, hiking the Shenandoah trails, returning to playing a round of golf, or maximizing an athlete’s performances to the next level.

  • David Wright, PTA

    David is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina and graduate of NC State University with a B.S. in Biological Science. He is also a graduate of South University Physical Therapy Assistant program in Richmond. David is a compassionate individual that focuses on maximizing a patient’s ability to rehabilitate based on the patient’s condition and goals. His clinical experiences include aquatic physical therapy, sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics, and inpatient physical therapy. David’s specialty interests in physical therapy include orthopedic management/rehabilitation, spinal rehabilitation, generalized low back pain management, whiplash associated disorders, sports medicine/rehabilitation, and personal injury cases. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in the mountains, as well as hiking, kayaking, weight lifting, and cooking.
